RSS readers

with christmas over, and a couple of other units out of the way (bar Play to Create, which will be the death of me) i think it's time to pay my blog a little more attention...

because i've decided my RHE (Rock Horror Experience) campaign will be based around an RSS feed reader i'm going to have a look into how mobile rss feeds work...

"RSS is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated digital content, such as blogs, news feeds or podcasts."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RSS_(file_format)

LiteFeeds is a mobile RSS browse, their Learn More page gives a pretty good description of how the browser works...

"Feeds are cached, compressed & stripped so your mobile experience is fast and simple. Quickly scan your feed headlines, descriptions and full text articles. When you see [an] icon you can select 'View Img' to get any images. Also 'Clip' articles to your online clip board to store and view later."

The RHE application will work in a similar way, but just with one RSS feed, the user will recieve an alert when ever there is a new item, and they can open their browser to view all the recent news items relating to the RHE.
